After many years of successful co-operation, Gerd Sandmair and Michael Böhler founded S&B Automotive Engineering GmbH & Co. KG.

They knew what they were setting out to do: expand their service portfolio and client base. And they were armed with a combined skill set including expertise in design and targeted customer orientation. Well aware of the problems car manufacturers were facing at the time, the two engineers from Friedberg put their innovative thinking and integral approach into delivering effective plant engineering solutions for the automotive industry.

The guiding principle of the management: Human acumen paired with the latest technology. Manufacturing plants are further optimized from a technical, economic and logistical point of view.

The first successful project for the automated production of solar modules is carried out in the core area of ​​automotive.

S&B enters into the field of manufacturing equipment design in the aerospace sector, taking into account the special manufacturing methods for CFRP components.
